🌱 The 2 simple questions for wisdom
Anti-Majority. 2 Simple Questions. Being you.
I read and experiment with things because that’s fun for me.
Then compress them into 3-minute insights because that’s fun for you.
Leggo.
🧭 Anti-Majority
This is one of my all-time favorite quotes.
It helped me quit my corporate job years ago.
It helped me travel South America for a year.
It still helps me make big decisions today.
“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.”
To be clear, it’s not contrarian for contrarian's sake.
Instead, it’s about aligning with what actually lights you up (which is probably not the same for the majority).
🤔 2 Simple Questions
There are two approaches to life.
One aligns with what you think other people value.
The other aligns with what YOU value.
(Spoiler: one is way harder)
To cut through the noise, Shreyas suggests asking 2 simple questions.
But most people ask the wrong question and chase what they don’t want.
Good news is you’re not like most people. So instead, figure out what you’re actually excited about by asking “why.”
"WHAT do I want / HOW do I get it?" Skips excitement.
"WHAT do I want / WHY do I want it?" Surfaces excitement.
Note: Let this idea of “what do I actually want and why” simmer for a few days. The day after I heard it, clarity started pouring in for me.
🐝 Just Be
Be yourself; everyone else is taken.
