🌱 How to align your energy (color-coded template)
Alignment tracker. Therapy notes. Paradox of Choice.
Happy June.
MAYbe one of my best months (get it?).
Okay, excuse the wordplay and hyperbole, but I’m excited about this (for both of us).
Here’s why.

I spent a few days trying to figure out why I felt so good in the month of May.
Then I found it.
Perhaps obvious, but I spent time doing things I VALUE most.
It’s helpful for me to define both core values (how I show up) and core areas (where I put my energy).
Then quick color-coding for clarity.
Two big takeaways for anyone to implement.
1.) Find the Lead Domino
A BIG part of the momentum was hiring a basketball instructor every Monday morning at 7am.
It was a single lead domino that also helped me:
Go to bed earlier each Sunday
Wake up early each Monday
Lift weights right after
Hoop!
2.) Investment > Cost
I initially viewed weekly basketball and weekly therapy as two brand-new “costs.”
Until I realized they were actually “investments.” Small reframe, big impact.

Okay, now we got that out of the way.
My word of the month is BEING.
If I catch myself future thinking, I remind myself, “just be.” It’s strangely helpful.
🤔 Paradox of Choice
The Paradox of Choice is one of my all-time favorite books.
It rewired my brain.
From maximizer to → satisficer.
I used to think “satisficer” meant settling (yuck!).
But it doesn’t.
Instead, a satisficer has a threshold of quality. They make an informed decision and move on.
With increasing optionality for literally everything, maximizers run out of steam. They suffer analysis paralysis with each decision and get slowed down.
Satisficers, on the other hand, get the magical M word… Momentum.
They also can “just be.” 🙂
