šŸŒ± The best time for ā€œthinkingā€ (besides the loo)

Airplane prompts. Elephant in the room. Reading.

Greetings from London šŸ“󠁧󠁢󠁄󠁮󠁧ó æ

OOO for the next two weeks, traveling to London and then Greece for a friendā€™s wedding. (Side note: First international trip with the gf, wish me luck!)

šŸ›©ļø Plane Prompts

I gathered some of my favorite reflection prompts for this 10 hour flight.

This one in particular always leads to insights:

"If we were having this discussion three years from today, and you were looking back over those three years, what has to have happened in your life, both personally and professionally, for you to feel happy with your progress?"

Hereā€™s a Google doc of the questions to grab a copy for yourself.

šŸ¤” Thinking Big & Small

The hardest part about being a human is the ability to think BIG and SMALL at the same time.

Thinking big = taking the right swings.
Thinking small = grabbing any bat & starting to swing.

The ability to shift perspectives is a superpower.

It's like seeing the elephant in the room while simultaneously understanding the elephant's perspective.

The "elephant" can be many forms (death, money, relationships).

For example we know we're going to die, but most don't like to think about it.

But imagine what the elephant would say to someone who hates their job.

"Yoooo you're clearly miserable here. Your life is so short, how about try something you enjoy? Keep it simple and follow your excitement. Btw can I have some peanuts?" - Shouts the elephant.

The elephant carries wisdom.

Listen to the elephant.

šŸ”„ Reading Time

Iā€™m still blown away how much wisdom is compressed into books. This quote gets me excited to read.

ā€œReading isnā€™t about putting information in your mind. Reading is about sparking a fire in your mindā€
