Learn: Super Bowl Strategy, 10 Things I Love, Interesting People
Read: 3 min
Hola from Playa Del Carmen,
3 brain nuggets, 3 minutes.
Vamos!
š Coach Parcells
Coach Bill Parcells transformed 3 football franchises and won 2 super bowls.
He knows how to make BIG changes.
But it turns out...his changes were a lot smaller than you'd think.
"In training camp, therefore, we donāt focus on the ultimate goalāgetting to the Super Bowl. We establish a clear set of goals that are within immediate reach."
So instead of the outcome (Super Bowl champs), he focused on non-negotiable inputs.
A team that:
Is well-conditioned and plays hard
Doesn't criticize each other
Has pride & wants to win
So sure, big visions are great. But at some point, we have to own the inputs.
Consider what inputs are non-negotiable in YOUR life/business?

š 10 Things I Love Aboutā¦
In a group recently several people talked about the power of just journaling out 10 things āI love about myself.ā
My initial thoughtsā¦ āehh yeah thatās kinda weird, not going to do that.ā
But then I acknowledged that inner hater voice was just one observation. And when I sense inner resistance, it usually means I should do it. So heck, why not.
I did it.
Soon after, I noticed I put humor on there twice. Which was a GREAT reminder to insert more of that in my life.
Try it for yourself.
It takes 2 minutes and is surprisingly rewarding.
š§² Find Interesting People
The world is a BIG place.
But creating stuff online, makes it a LOT smaller.
When I was in Mexico City in August, a newsletter reader (now amigo) Jon replied to this newsletter and we grabbed lunch.
Jon used to be the managing editor for an NBA team (Sacramento Kings) and worked for/started a handful of marketing companies.
Muy interesante.
Now he started a vlog called āThe Nomad Journalā and interviewed me over a few cervezas.
Todo Bien,
Mitchell aka āMiguelā
