🌱 Upgrade your ChatGPT instructions (“world-class strategist” prompt)
Small upgrades, huge impact. Jam sessions.
Here’s your 3 insights in 3 minutes.
🚀 ChatGPT Upgrade
I asked my friend Rob Cressy (ai expert and coach), what’s the most useful thing you can teach in under 5 minutes?
Rob: “Well, you’ve customized your ChatGPT instructions right.”
Me: “Uh I think so. Let me check…”
Oops. My project instructions were updated, my overall ChatGPT instructions were blank! 🤦‍♂️
Similar to internet speed, keyboard shortcuts, health, etc… This is one of those upstream upgrades that have HUGE LEVERAGE for everything downstream. Aka my favorite improvements.
Custom instructions = compound leverage
So I spent a few hours prompting and setting mine up.
Great news for you… you can just copy the exact prompt I used to setup for yourself.
Here’s my custom settings:

Here’s the prompt and steps to copy:

Here’s the Customize ChatGPT Instruction and prompt for you to copy.
This only takes a few minutes and likely one of the highest ROI activities you can do today for your current/future self.

🔥 Jam Sessions
The other week, I mentioned how I was opening up a few jam sessions to help 1:1 on your business strategy, content, or ai systems.
After doing a few of them now, I’m realizing something big. These are literally fun for me.
AND apparently not a complete waste of time either…
After fellow subscriber (and now friend) TJ Larkin set up a consult to jam on his businesses he tweeted this:
I had to reduce my availability (and shorten to 30 minutes) because 6 more people now have booked them.
Have one more day open this month here if you want to jam!
🚪Little Hinges
“Big doors swing on little hinges.”
Funny how so much can really be traced back to a few small choices.
Working out every day.
Hitting publish once a week.
Following curiosity instead of a career ladder.
They didn’t feel like much at the time. But they quietly opened every door I’ve walked through since.
What’s one small hinge you’ll upgrade this week?
Salud,
Mitchell
