🌱 What, So What, Now What? (Framework for year end learning)
Greg McKeown asks these 3 questions every morning. I use it for everything.
Here’s your 3 insights in 3 minutes.
🧠Did You *Actually* Learn?
Ever notice how you can repeat the same mistake and never figure out why?
John Dewey said it best:
"We do not learn from experience... we learn from reflecting on experience."
Most people skip the reflection part. They just keep moving on without learning.
Here's a simple framework that fixes that.
🤔 What? So What? Now What?
WHAT? Describe what happened. Just the facts.
SO WHAT? Why it matters. The pattern or insight.
NOW WHAT? The action that makes sense from here.
You can use this for daily decisions (Greg McKeown asks these three questions every morning).
You can use it for year-end reviews. You can use it for writing or thinking through anything.
It's Past, Present, Future compressed into three questions.

The gap between experience and insight is reflection.
✅ Let’s Try It
I noticed an interesting trend spiking right now.
What?
The search term “networking events” is now at an all-time high (up 27% YoY).

We’re now at new all-time highs after covid dip
So What?
People are searching for connections online and offline.
Also, LinkedIn just hit a new all time high of users (now over 300M monthly active users).
But you can't just search (or “connection request”) your way to real relationships.
Now What?
I’ve made the best connections through niche skill development communities around shared interests. (Here’s my favorite online and offline communities.)
If you create online it also becomes way easier to find your people.
For example, after one DM, this guy asked to hop on a call to become friends.

A few weeks later I was at his house interviewing him. (See video clip here.)
The key is to not overthink it. If you see something that looks interesting, just go for it!
Instead of searching for “networking”.
Start connecting directly with people you vibe with.
