🌱 Your logic vs intuition (how to have both)

LinkedIn. Thinking vs talking. Logic vs intuition.

Hey friends. Here are your 3 insights in 3 minutes.

šŸ”— LinkedIn

I received a bunch of messages and comments about this LinkedIn post below.

Here’s the thing, LinkedIn is sorta (read: mostly) cringy.

But the best way to find interesting people is to just share what you think is interesting (in your own voice).

However, ā€œpost more on LinkedInā€ is a daunting and ā€œinvisibleā€ task.

So, to make the invisible, more visible…

I set up a simple tracker.

Targeting 10 posts for December and will adjust as we go.

šŸ¤” Thinking vs Talking

Some people ā€œtalk to thinkā€ and others ā€œthink to talk.ā€

I ā€œwrite to think to talk.ā€

But my best thoughts come from walking. So it actually looks like:

Walk→ think → write→ talk (and the cycle repeats)

How do you best communicate?

ā˜Æļø Logic vs Intuition

Starting to think about 2025 and what feels most alive for me.

On a walk (to think), I brainstormed:

ā€œWhat are the logical opportunities that make the most sense for me? And what are the intuitive opportunities that just feel right?ā€

Here’s what I came up with on a 20-minute walk.

Logical

  • Copywork: For how much I write and enjoy writing, I should (dangerous ā€œsā€ word, don’t tell my therapist) explore copywriting further and do more copywork of my favorite writers.

  • Health/Nutrition: Since reading ā€œThe 4-Hour Bodyā€ in 2016 I started the slow carb diet (not trying to lose weight, just out of curiosity but then loved it), however never talked to a nutritionist or had extensive testing done (InsideTracker, Dexa scan, etc.)

Intuitive

  • Personal podcast: I love curiosity conversations with interesting people (btw I’m starting to release consistent episodes now, subscribe/review Apple podcast or Spotify!)

  • Workshops/talks/events: I’ve given 3-4 guest lectures at UT Business School and love doing it each semester. I recently hosted a hike with friends. I gave a roundtable talk in Dublin. I want to do more of this stuff in 2025!

  • Life Systems: I co-host weekly Life Systems event in Austin. I wrote about Life Systems and the template here and love talking with people about this.

What’s on your logical vs intuitive list? (Hit reply and let me know.)

Salud,
Mitchell
